On the first Thursday of each month, Marketing Cube host a Marketing Automation Meetup. What’s a Meetup?

A Meetup is a way for people to meet online around any topic and then arrange a physical face to face event to talk further about that topic.

What we covered in October

In October we met to talk about LinkedIn and how Marketers can get more from LinkedIn that simply their own online CV. Linked provides a range of services for lead generation. There are a couple of ways to advertise on LinkedIn. You can place ads on the right hand side of the screen, you’ve seen these against your own profile. LinkedIn recently added to ability to “sponsor” a post where your post is pushed into member’s news feeds. As a new addition to LinkedIn, these feature is probably worth exploring because few people are doing it at the moment.

Other ways to connect on LinkedIn

You can use In-Mail which is a paid service, this is helpful when you want to reach people whom you are not connected to. Another way to do this is to join a group that the person you’re wanting to contact is also a member. A little known secret is that members of groups can email each other within LinkedIn at no charge.
